I cannot connect my PS4 to DigiFam WiFi
Follow these steps to connect your PS4 gaming console to the DigiFam WiFi network.
How to connect a PS4 to DigiFam WiFi:
On the main PS4 menu go to Settings and press X.
Scroll down to Network and press X.
Select to Set Up Internet Connection and press X.
Scroll down to Use Wi-Fi and press X.
On the following screen scroll down to Easy then press X.
Select DigiFam from the available WiFi network list and press X.
Using the controller in your wireless network password (the default password is DigiFamwifi) and press R2.
On the following scroll down to Ok and press X.
The following screen will display Checking network environment followed with a screen showing the Internet settings are updated. At the following screen you can choose internet connection test and press X . Once this test is complete you have finished the setup.
My PS4 still won’t connect to DigiFam WiFi:
Sometimes, connecting a PS4 to a wireless network can take a little more than just connecting quickly. Gaming consoles have a rep for struggling to connect automatically connecting to WIFI networks, and this can depend on lots of different factors. If you are having challenges connecting the PS4 to the DigiFam WiFi by following the steps above, then just follow these steps to create a manual connection to DigiFam WiFi:
On the main PS4 menu, go to Settings > Network > Set Up Internet Connection > Use Wi-Fi (as per steps 1 to 4 above)
Once you have selected Use Wi-Fi, scroll down to Custom and press X
In the Primary IP Address field, enter the following: 192.168.121.100
In the Primary DNS setting field, enter the following: 192.168.121.1
Leave the Secondary DNS setting field blank
In the Default Gateway field, enter the following: 192.168.121.1
In the Subnet Mask field, enter the following: 255.255.255.0
Select the MTU as Automatic
Ensure that the Proxy Server is set to ‘Do not use’
Ensure that the DHCP Host Name is set to ‘Do Not Specify’
The following screen will display Checking network environment followed with a screen showing the Internet settings are updated. At the following screen you can choose internet connection test and press X . Once this test is complete you have finished the setup.
